Each of these options is described in detail below.
In each of these tabs there is a MENU BAR present at the top which helps you navigate to some of the other tabs.
Menu Bar (from L to R- Flashcards, Word Search, Quiz, Progress) |
MENU BAR is present at the top of your screen when any of the tabs are selected (except INFORMATION & VIDEO WALL). This bar provides easy navigation back to any of the other tabs, which are denoted by their respective icons. The MENU BAR is much like the easy navigation tab throughout the application.
INFORMATION TAB:
The INFORMATION tab provides you with the actions to share, rate or provide feedback about
EasyVocab. You can know more about this product or Last-Bench! in ‘About Us’ and learn how to use the application using the 'Help' feature.
FLASHCARDS:
The Flashcard tab forms the basis of EasyVocab. Here you can
browse and learn new words by first seeing the word displayed on the card in
the center of your screen and tapping anywhere on the card to reveal the word’s
meaning and usage.
You can then select one of three options below the card. These buttons help you set the ‘Confidence Level’:
Red Button: Select this option if you are not confident about the meaning or usage of this word. We’ll help you master this word by increasing the times it appears during a learning session.

Red Button: Select this option if you are not confident about the meaning or usage of this word. We’ll help you master this word by increasing the times it appears during a learning session.
Yellow Button: This is the default intermediate level.
Select this option if you are moderately confident about the meaning and usage
of the word. We will reduce the frequency of this word to help you focus on
tougher words you have yet to master.
Green Button: Select this option if you think you have
mastered the meaning and usage of this word. But, BEWARE! We’ll test you
randomly to see if you’re telling the truth! :D
The Easy Vocab application uses your entry and accordingly shuffles the Flashcard deck to help you master words in the fastest and most comprehensive way possible. You really need to see to believe this feature!
The ‘next’ and ‘previous’ buttons help you navigate through the flashcards. Hitting the ‘speaker’ icon will help you listen to how the word is pronounced.

The small star on the top right of the screen (below the
MENU BAR) helps you set the word for review. This allows you to bookmark the
word for viewing and learning at a later time. When you hit the hollow star it
will become solid, indicating the word has been set for review. All the words
set for review are listed and can be accessed in the ‘Review Words’ option
under the WORD SEARCH tab.
WORD SEARCH:
This tab allows you search for a specific word from the
plethora of words in EASYVOCAB. There are three options within this tab:
Word Search: This is the default option on entering the tab. You can type a word of your choice and then click on it to view its meaning and usage.
Filter by confidence: This option allows you to select the words based on the confidence level assigned to the word in the FLASHCARD tab. By default all words not assigned a confidence level will be assigned the intermediate level (yellow button).

This tab helps you test you skills and mastery of words you have learned previously. You can create your own customized quiz by setting the number of questions you wish to attempt in the quiz, the total duration of the quiz and the words you wish to include in your quiz based on the confidence level. So get ready to test yourself!
PROGRESS:
We maintain good records of all the quizzes attempted and
scores obtained. This is represented graphically and numerically in this tab.
The tab consists of two options- General Report and Quiz
Details.
General Report:
This gives you the overall progress report of all the quizzes attempted.
You can see your progress on a graph that plots ‘Quizzes Taken’ against ‘Scores’. Below the graph is the Words Summary chart that lists the percentage of words out of the total you have already viewed and the percentage of words listed under each confidence level.
The Tests Summary chart lists the Max Score, Min Score and Avg Score. Max Score is the highest score (as a percentage) you have obtained in all the quizzes so far, Min Score is the lowest score (as a percentage) you have obtained so far and the Avg Score is the average of all scores from all tests attempted till date.
